Accurate pin placement is crucial for tracking proximity to the hole and analysing approach play. Shot Scope allows you to move the pin position after a round using both the mobile app and the web dashboard. Here's how to do it on each platform:
Moving the Pin Location in the Mobile App

Open the Round
Launch the Shot Scope app and select the round you wish to edit. -
Go to the Hole Overview
Navigate to the specific hole where you want to change the pin location. -
Enter Green View
Tap the pin icon to bring up the green view. -
Move the Pin
Tap and drag the pin to the correct location on the green.
You can also use the directional arrows (left, right, up, down) for fine adjustments.

Log In to the Dashboard
Go to dashboard.shotscope.com and sign in to your account. -
Select Your Round
Choose the round you wish to edit from your list of completed rounds. -
Enter Green View
Click the pin icon located in the bottom-right of the hole overview. -
Adjust the Pin
Click and drag the pin to the desired position on the green. -
Use the Nudge Tool for Precision
For exact adjustments, use the +/- tool in the bottom left to set foot increments, then use your keyboard arrow keys to nudge the pin in small steps.
By keeping your pin locations accurate, you'll improve the quality of your stats—especially those related to approach accuracy and putting performance.
