Accurately recording lost balls in Shot Scope is essential for maintaining precise performance statistics. Whether you're using the mobile app or the web dashboard, here's how to mark a shot as a lost ball:
Marking a Lost Ball in the Mobile App
- Open the Round: Launch the Shot Scope app and select the round you wish to edit.
- Select the Shot: Tap on the shot label to bring up the shot details.
- Access More Options: Tap the menu button (three dots) at the bottom right of the screen.
- Mark as Lost Ball: Tap on "Lost Ball" at the bottom of the page and confirm the selection.
- Adjust the Shot Location: Tap and hold the lost shot label, then drag it to the approximate location where the ball was lost. Release to set the position.
This process will automatically add a stroke and distance penalty to your score.
Marking a Lost Ball on the Web Dashboard
- Log In to the Dashboard: Go to dashboard.shotscope.com and sign in to your account.
- Select Your Round: Choose the round you wish to edit from your list of completed rounds.
- Enter Editing Mode: Click on the round card and then click the "Sign off" button, followed by "Edit and Sign Off" to open the editing feature.
- Select the Shot: Click on the shot you wish to mark as lost either on the map or from the shot list.
- Mark as Lost Ball: Click the "Lost Ball" icon.
- Adjust the Shot Location: Move the red node to the approximate location where the ball was lost.
This action will add a penalty shot to your score and create a new shot from the tee box, ensuring the rest of the hole is in the correct sequence.
